Autumn Equinox Limbo

It's the most sacred time of year in a zillion ancient cultures. The autumn equinox used to be the big, heavy holiday before Jesus and his terribly wayward followers took over.

So in true lunar eclipse/equinox/astrological fashion, I'm in limbo. I 86ed the McJob last night. Granted, it was a lot faster than I wanted it to be. I had planned on a nice steady 1-week notice to sorta let the scene deflate but this new employer wants me to start TA-DAY!, so that little chapter in my Nickeled and Dimed tale is now abruptly over. Will miss 90% of the crew up there. They're good peeps minus the bleaAch and the Freak who continually peed on the bathroom floor in that abysmal building on 45th.

Now it's swing shift off Dearborn and Rainier Ave. where the Asian retirees meet 'da Hood. And nearly Halloween too. Yep, tonight's busride home will be a joy ...
